It’s been one hell of a wild ride for the garage rocking, pedal stomping and gutter screaming Wine Lips. A hell of a ride since forming in 2015 and since then, basically, staying on the road touring everywhere. Well, not really everywhere... hear me out. This is the first time ever they [drumroll] visit Sweden! Oh yeah, they are finally here! Celebrating "the birth" of summer with us.
And for you (up until now) poor ones who has never heard of Wine Lips, their new record “Super Mega Ultra” is an absolute beast. The album is jam-packed with 12 ramped-up supersonic ear-scorching auditory delicacies. SMU is probably Wine Lips’ most ambitious undertaking to date, exploring new thematic territory while firmly maintaining their signature psych garage punk rock panache. You truly need to hear the album to believe it. And if you haven’t already guessed, the wild ride continues!
After some time for introspection, meditation, and beer-can Jenga, psych/garage septet* Moshi Moshi & the Moist Boys are ready to crank up both productivity and intensity to sixth gear. With new music on the way, the boy band from Oslo is set to deliver a classic Moshi ritual—aggressive psychedelic fuzz and chaotic live shows. Bring your partner, kids, aunt, and pets—this is a night no one will forget! Is this their first time in Gothenburg? We have no idea, and at this point we're too afraid to ask.
*a septet is a group of seven musicians or performers. In this case, it means Moshi Moshi & the Moist Boys have seven members.
Wolfschmidt is the grungegaze band from the industrial heart of Gothenburg. Born on Ringön in 2021 as an experimental recording duo they havenow grown into an explosive live act, combining noise over noise over noise, along with beautiful vocals and harmonies.
The band’s debut EP, Cosmic Joke, has become the backbone of their celebrated autumn shows, with sets that continue to expand with unreleased material. In the contrast between their chaotic edge and dark introspection, Wolfschmidt has carved out a unique voice within Gothenburg’s indie scene. First time ever at Viva Sounds, here we go!
Did you know that Del III is in their 10th year as a band? You didn't, did you?! Based in both Malmö and Gothenburg, bouncing between the two like a band with commitment issues. What do they play? Well, some say punk, others mumble indie pop — but the band themselves, being the cheeky bunch they are, prefer the wonderfully messy term "gråtrunkspop". It's been a while, Gothenburg, and we're happy to have them back on stage! And brace yourselves! 2025 is the year! For the first time in five years, Del III is dropping new music.
Babysun is without a doubt Gothenburg’s most chaotic post-punk band. Constantly delivering violent bursts of emotion, punctuated by complete collapses and packed with breathtaking noise of the most wonderful kind. Expect to be run over by a self-pitying bulldozer. Expect to have your entire being shattered, but in a way that makes you want to do it again.
